Countries: China, Vietnam, Egypt, Congo, Zanzibar, South Africa, India, Algeria, German East Africa
Tasks:
Pro Imperialist – the student will make a pro imperialist commercial highlighting all of the great things that imperialism has done for both countries. This will be in the format of a video that must be 3-5 minutes long. It must contain 5 specific facts/historical events that benefit either country.

It must contain 5 facts/historical events and a call to action to throw off “the yoke of imperialism” using the rhetorical strategy of pathos.
Historian: The student will present to the class the causes and effect of imperialism of their chosen country in a 0bjective manner. They must also highlight the other two students work and explain the bias of each, as well as explain which major cause was the result of imperialism (4 major causes given in class). The presentation must be 3-8 mminutes and be on power point so that the class can take notes.
